STABO steam accumulators and boiler drums as key components for steam generation

Steam drums are technical devices for generating and storing high-pressure steam for power generation and industrial applications. The separation of steam and water (phase separation) takes place in the steam drum so that steam can be used in steam turbines or industrial processes.

Their design ensures that they can withstand high pressures and temperatures. In order to withstand extreme operating conditions, high-pressure steam drums are manufactured from specially suitable materials with large wall thicknesses.

In addition to their use in power generation, high-pressure steam drums are also used in the chemical industry, in food processing and in other areas where steam is required.

High, medium and low-pressure drums and steam accumulators from STABO for a widerange of industrial applications

Steam accumulators are indispensable for many industrial applications in which steam is generated and stored under high pressure. The steam accumulators work in a similar way to an accumulator, storing the steam and releasing it again when there is a corresponding demand - thus having a balancing effect in the process.

STABO steam accumulators are designed for extreme pressure and temperature conditions and are made of robust, corrosion-resistant materials.

STABO steam accumulators

STABO relies on modern manufacturing processes in the production of high-pressure drums and steam accumulators to guarantee you exceptional quality.

Highest precision in production

Our high-pressure steam drums are by extremely low out-of-roundness, which is in the range of just 0.3 to a maximum of 0.5 percent.

This exceptional precision has a direct positive effect on the longevity and reliability of your systems.

We not only exceed the required tolerances, but also ensure that our products significantly extend the service life of your machines.

Special treatments and safety

  • Stress relief annealing: As a heat treatment after forming and welding to reduce stresses in the material with the aim of minimizing the risk of distortion or material and component damage during operation.
  • Pressure test: Ensuring drum durability under operating conditions.
  • Non-destructive and mechanical testing: Strict quality controls to ensure the integrity and durability of each drum.
  • Surface treatment: Corrosion protection and extended service life thanks to special surface finishing.
