STABO high-pressure separators for the chemical and petrochemical industry

High-pressure separators are used in the chemical and petrochemical industries to separate gases, liquids and solids in mixtures under high pressure. Their main function is to efficiently separate the various components of a mixture through the application of pressure and physical principles, such as density differences.

These high-pressure separators designed to withstand the most extreme operating conditions by being made from robust, corrosion-resistant materials.

In the oil and gas industry, the high-pressure separator is used in particular for separating naturalgas from the liquids and solids produced during crude oil and natural gas extraction. It also plays a decisive role in the chemical industry in the separation of reaction products.

STABO relies on modern production processes to guarantee you exceptional quality in themanufacture of high-pressure separators.

Highest precision in production

Our high-pressure separators are characterized by an extremely high degree of straightness when assembling the forged parts in conjunction with high-quality submerged arc welding processes using narrow-gap technology to achieve weld seams with a very high quality and toughness.

This exceptional precision has a direct positive effect on the reliability of your systems and processes. This minimizes downtimes and service times while maximizing the service life of the system.

Extensive vertical integration and expertise

STABO offers comprehensive in-house production, which includes all relevant steps for the manufacture of first-class high-pressure separators (clad / unclad):

  • Circumferential seam welding: Circumferential seam welding is carried out to the highest quality standards, both when assembling the individual segments and during submerged arc welding for optimum welding results.
  • Weld cladding of the surface in contact with the product: Depending on requirements, we the surface of the separators with austenitic weld cladding, produced as SAW strip/ SAW wire or using the electroslag process. Of course, we also carry out the corresponding grinding surface finishing.

Double shells and foot constructions

  • Production and assembly of double-walled shells: Our range of services includes the manufacture and assembly of double-walled shells. We also manufacture accessories and attachments such as cooling or heating shells as double-walled shells or as tubular heating coils in order to optimize the separator process.
  • Base construction: We manufacture chairs, saddles and base constructions that are specially adapted to the components to ensure stability during transportation and operation. These can supplied either as loose parts or permanently mounted.

Special treatments and safety

  • Heat treatment: The optimization of material properties through heat treatment aims to achieve maximum performance and stability in operation.
  • Pressure test: Ensuring the design and quality.
  • Non-destructive and mechanical testing: Quality controls in accordance with regulations serve as proof of high-quality production and work and create security for customers and operators during acceptance and operation of the separators. They guarantee the durability of our products.
  • Surface treatment: Corrosion protection and extension of service life through special surface finishing according to customer requirements.
  • Completion: The separators are supplied with all necessary attachments so that they are ready for installation.
